Small Web Notes

About the notebook

A notebook about small, readable pages

Practical notes about readable pages and a modest set of local resources.

What belongs here

Seven readings about making a small website readable, navigable and easy to publish.

The examples describe ordinary editorial choices. They are explanations to compare with your own work, rather than reports about a particular service or organisation.

How to read the collection

The home page offers three starting points and the notes index lists every reading. Each article includes a short contents list, a practical takeaway and links to its neighbours. Choose one question and return to the index when it changes.

A modest publication

The collection uses ordinary HTML, a local style sheet and small local illustrations. No account or script is needed. The same pages support a narrow screen, larger text and the device light or dark preference.
